Are you READY? Potomac Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) has a brand-new service in Petersburg! If you are looking for a way to get around town, Potomac Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) has a ride ready for you.
Petersburg READY RIDE began service Monday, July 1st, 2019 and will operate Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM to all locations within the town of Petersburg and to some locations outside of the town limits.
Petersburg READY RIDE is a demand response service…riders can reserve a time and location for pick up and travel to their destination – meetings, lunch with friends, medical appointments, shopping, hair appointments, visit the library, to or from work, or to go to the park!
Riders can call to make same-day ride reservations, or up to seven days in advance. Reservations can be made by calling PVTA at 304-257-1414, and the one-way cash fare to anywhere within the service area is only $1.50.
This is a great benefit for our community, and it is one other way public transit helps provide a better quality of life for all residents. Give us a call to reserve your RIDE and be READY to go when the vehicle arrives.
