PVTA is monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and will act in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines.
Our drivers follow best practices to keep our riders and the bus environment safe by spraying and wiping surfaces on a regular basis. We want to remind passengers about the CDC (Center for Disease Control)- recommended precautions to prevent the spread of illnesses:
- Wash your hands with soap and water before and after riding public transit. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Avoid eating and drinking while onboard.
- Do not cough into your hands. Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow.
- Stay home if you are sick.
