Moorefield Ready Ride is a local transportation service designed for the citizens of the immediate Moorefield area. Our trained driver will come in a PVTA van and take you to and from your home, school, doctors’ appointment, store or any other destination in Moorefield or the area shown on the map inside this brochure.

If you want to take a trip on Moorefield Ready Ride, just call 257-1414 and press 22 for the reservation line. Request a trip the same day you want to ride or reserve your trip as far as seven days in advance. Please remember that Moorefield Ready Ride is a shared ride service, and we will do our best to meet your schedule needs. You can reserve a one-way trip or round trip and Moorefield Ready Ride will be ready for you.

Service is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Trips may begin or end anywhere inside the town of Moorefield or destinations included on the map inside.

Please have your exact $1.50 fare ready when the Ready Ride van picks you up for your trip.

Moorefield Ready Ride Service Policies

All persons are eligible to use the service; service area is limited to Moorefield and limited destinations outside of town. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please do not smoke, eat or drink beverages on the Ready Ride vehicle. Baby strollers and shopping carts are permitted but must be stored safely on the van. Please be respectful of your driver and fellow passengers -- disruptive behavior, profanity, littering and loud music are not permitted.

Service will not be offered on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Moorefield Ready Ride is a wheelchair accessible service.
